AINLEY, Simon Peter Ainley

Died unexpectedly at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the age of 74.

Simon of Wasaga Beach was the beloved husband of Sharon Hanna for more than 46 years. Loving father of Sean (Maria), Alexandra (Rene), and Nicholas (Erin). Cherished grandfather of Samuel, Adriana, Annabelle, Ivy, Lou, and Max. Dear brother of Michael and Suzanne, and uncle to Travis. Predeceased by his parents, Bill and Trudy, and by his brother Jonathan. Simon will be lovingly remembered by his extended family and many friends.

Simon was a Registered Professional Planner and for the last 20 years served as Chairman of the Ainley Group. Through his work and leadership, he touched countless lives and helped shape communities across the province. Throughout his life, he was also deeply committed to charitable and community causes, including serving as President of the local Progressive Conservative Riding Association and as a board member of the YMCA.

He will forever be deeply missed.

Friends are invited to join the family at Carruthers & Davidson – Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner, on Sunday, March 22, 2026, for visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A private funeral service will be held at a later date, with interment at Stayner Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Simon to your local hospital foundation or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
