ALLEN, Evelyn ‘Nana’ – Beloved mother, grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at Hospice Wellington on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at the age of 91. Predeceased by her husband, Ron Allen (2021).
She is survived by her son Steven (Marnie) Allen, daughter Susan Archer, grandchildren Mathew and Mitchell Archer, Fiona Allen, and great-grandchildren Mason, Grayson, Hunter, and Lucy. She is also survived by her sister Lorraine Wellbanks and will be deeply missed by all who knew her and will forever remain in their hearts.
Evelyn was a devoted member of her community, with a deep compassion for others, working for many years as a nurse. She cherished her time spent with her family at their cottage and was also a dedicated volunteer. Evelyn’s faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was an active and cherished member of her church. Above all, Evelyn treasured her family, who remembers her for her kindness, strength, and unwavering love.
As per Evelyn’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private ceremony will be held at a later date.
