Passed away peacefully on September 1, 2026, at Marigold Hospice Care in Newcastle, surrounded by love.
Angelo leaves behind his beloved spouse, Marie, who was by his side throughout his journey. He will be deeply missed by his children, Jamie, Evangelo (Shelby), Aris (Zoe), Larissa (Jeff), and Olivia, and by his cherished grandchildren, Isaac and Samuel. He also leaves behind his two beloved kitties, Tzar and Zoe, who brought him so much love and companionship.
He was a loving son to his mother, Aphrodite, and his late father, James, and a brother to the late Chris, Bill, George, and Kathy.
Angelo Papadimtriou truly lived life to the fullest. He had a love for music, good wine, incredible food, cooking, dancing, and theatre. He loved to travel and held a special place in his heart for Ireland and Greece. His sense of adventure took him in many directions throughout his life, from his love of motorcycles to scuba diving and the many places he travelled and experiences he collected along the way.
Our family would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the incredible team at Marigold Hospice Care for the compassion, comfort, and exceptional care they provided to Angelo and our entire family during his final days. Their kindness and support meant more than words can express and will never be forgotten.
A Celebration of Angelo’s Life will be held at a later date. Details regarding the date, time, and location will be shared once arrangements have been finalized.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Marigold Hospice Care in Angelo’s memory.
A life well lived, a man deeply loved, whose strength inspired those around him, and a legacy that will never be forgotten.
