Unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, Melissa Jane Baird (nee Shields) of Tillsonburg at the age of 53 years. Loving, kind, patient, generous, selfless and energetic wife of 19 years to her husband Scott. Caring and proud mother to her children Aiyana and Chayton. Beautiful and loving daughter to John and Beth Shields. Daughter-in-law to Don Baird and Marcia Reid. Protective sister and best friend to Heather Cassidy. Sister-in-law to Karen Baird. Loving aunt to Dalton and Shona Cassidy, Ryan Moore and Connor Depodesta.
Melissa was a very private person with a kind and generous heart. She was compassionate about her patients and helping them as a Physiotherapist. Melissa loved to travel, was an avid reader, was a competitive swimmer and a beautiful highland dancer. She will be deeply missed by all of her B.A.D. family.
There will be a visitation held at Ostrander’s Funeral Home Saturday September 13th, 2025 from 3:00-6:00 pm. If you would like to make a donation the family will be organizing an Academic Endowment Fund for Glendale High School.
