BARON, Peter Barone

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Peter Barone on July 3, 2026, at Windsor Regional Hospital, at the age of 71, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of 50 years to Barbara Barone (née Gelinas). Proud and devoted father of Justin and Brandon (Kelsey). Cherished Nonno of Brooklynn, Avery, Sophie, and Luca, all of whom brought great joy to his life.

Dear brother of Sam and Lary (Dante and Christian). Peter will be sadly missed by his extended family members, and friends. Friends from high school, some grade school, Peter cherished his loyal group of friends Jack Ammormino, Loris Macor, Jim Minello and Tom Znotins known as The Minds! Peter will be remembered for his deep love of family, his love of crossword puzzles and his passion for golf, and the many friendships he enjoyed as a member of Beach Grove Golf and Country Club in Tecumseh.

He was very grateful for the friendship and comraderies’ he made with his Canadian and American Golf Society known in smaller circles as the SCAGS. Tim Hortons will miss a very faithful customer – Medium regular and an old fashioned plain donut.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Peter’s Life will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Banwell Chapel, 11677 Tecumseh Road East, Windsor, on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 1:00pm until 4:00pm. In memory of Peter, donations to the Windsor Regional Hospital Cancer Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Banwell Chapel.
