BAXTER, James Arthur Baxter

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Jim passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at Matthews House Hospice.

Beloved husband of Barb for 31 years. Loved father of Ken, Anne (Tim deceased 2024) and Paul (Sandy). Adored grandfather of Shaun and Ashley and his great-grandson Gunnar. He was predeceased by his first wife Isabel Baxter and his parents Norman and Helen Baxter. He will be greatly missed by his brother John, brother-in-law John Dunn and the Rumble family.

Jim was raised on the family farm and continued farming while being employed by FS Partners. After 60 years he finally decided to retire.

He will be sadly missed by the many friends he has made over the years.

Visitation will be held at Drury Funeral Centre 519 Victoria St. E., Alliston on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Private family interment Alliston Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Matthews House Hospice or Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
