BERENTSCHOT, Derk Jan Berentschot

Called home to his Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at the age of 91 years.

Dearly beloved husband of Johanna, for nearly 66 years. Loving father of Brian and Eric (Carol). Cherished Opa of Alicia, Joshua (Mikaela) and Great Opa of Mollie. Dear brother of Bill, predeceased by Henk and Anneke and sister in-law Mary. Survived by sister in-law Anne and brother in-law Peter. Derk Jan Berentschot will be missed by all his nieces and nephews, family and friends in Canada and The Netherlands.

Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME 847 King Street West on Friday May 22, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Interment Mount Lawn Cemetery. A funeral service will be held at Hebron Christian Reformed Church (4240 Anderson Street, Whitby) on Saturday May 23, 2026 at 11:00 am.
