BOETTCHER, Janice Irene Boettcher

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Janice Irene Boettcher on June 4, 2026, at the age of 67.

Janice was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend whose greatest joy in life was her family. She leaves behind her beloved children, Michael (Andrea), Lisa (Wes), and Jackie; her cherished grandchildren Alyssa, Brooke, Brianna, Madison, Zackery, Jayce and Tayn; and her treasured great-granddaughter Violet. She will be dearly missed by her brother, Jimmy, along with many extended family members and friends.

Janice was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Mary Ryhorchuk, her brother Edward, twin brother Gene; and her niece Tara.

Janice enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She loved spending time outdoors, breathing in the fresh air, shopping, attending bingo, and creating memories with family and friends. She was an avid baseball fan and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on the Toronto Blue Jays. Her favourite player was Alejandro Kirk, whom she followed with great enthusiasm. She also enjoyed watching movies, television series, game shows and spending time playing games with those she loved.

Among Janice’s proudest accomplishments were her three children, seven grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. Her family was the centre of her world and her greatest source of happiness. She took immense pride in watching her family grow and treasured every moment spent together. One of her lifelong dreams was to visit Hawaii, a place she often spoke about and hoped to see one day.

Janice will be remembered for her love of family, her caring nature, her sense of fun, and the warmth she shared with those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home. Burial and memorial service will follow at 12:15 p.m. at Bowmanville Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to return to Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home following the burial for a reception and lunch beginning at 1:15 p.m.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their love, support, and condolences during this difficult time.
