BRAVER, Mary Loundra Beaver

Passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 with her family by her side at the age of 81.

Beloved wife of the late Joe Nicholson (2021). Loving mother to Wayne (Suwan), Tim (Marna), Paula (Ivan), Cathy (Scott), Joey (Mel) and Danny. Beloved grandmother to Vanessa (Zack), Brianna (Andrew), Allyssa (Warren), Cassandra (Brahm), Gene (Amanda), Jessica (Jason), Matthew (Katie), Jessie (Benj), Tyler (Syd), Shelby (Ben), Jessica and Joseph Nicholson 3rd. Dear great grandmother to Olivia, Abby, Hannah and Joe. Fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Mary’s greatest joy was her family. Her kitchen was always the heart of her home, filled with the comforting aroma of fresh-baked cookies, pies, and breads. She believed every moment was made better with a sweet treat and a warm embrace. She poured her love into every batch of homemade cookies, which she generously shared with friends, and family. Everyone looked forward to her Christmas cookie baskets she created from the heart along with our hand written recipes to add to our personal cookbooks every year. Beyond her passion for baking, Mary was known for her talent for knitting and joy of sharing experiences with the love of her life Joe Nicholson on his singing adventures. She cherished the simple moments: watching old movies, Playing Tetris, and the bubble game, winning big at Casino Rama, her weekly shopping excursions, and family dinners. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her kind heart, her unwavering love for her family, and the delicious memories she created in her kitchen.

Friends are invited to visit the family at the Gordon A. Monk Funeral Home. Ltd. 127 Bobcaygeon Rd., P.O. Box 427, Minden, Ontario K0M 2K0 on Saturday, December 13, 2025 from 11:00 am until the time of the Service to Celebrate Mary’s Life at 1:00 pm. Reception to follow at Mary’s house, 6 Knob Hill Court, Minden, Ontario K0M 2K0.

Memorial Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
