It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Helen Jane Bromley on July 6th 2025 after a fearless battle with cancer, showing strength to the very end.
Helen was born on September 29, 1967 in Birmingham, England. Growing up in England and relocating with her family to Ontario, Canada in 1970.
Loving wife and best friend of Steven, devoted and loving mother to Kyler (Crystal), Linnaea (Anthony), Chandra (Kowaski), Brandon (Kennedy). Her children will forever cherish her unconditional love, her infectious laugher and the values instilled in them. Will be deeply missed by her pride and joy grandchildren Laynie, John, Noah, Michael, Karter, Shiro, Makai and the memories and special bond she created with them.
Loving daughter to Colin and Barbara. Predeceased by her mother Margaret.
Remembered by her brothers and sister, Angus (Inae), Nevil (Stephanie), Jessica (Elma), Cathy (Harry), Jim (Teresa) and Debbie, and missed by her many nieces and nephews, Chelsea, Ryan, Jevon, Lilly, Claire & Leo.
Helen was always there for everyone, supporting her family. To her grandchildren she was Grammie, a constant presence who adored them and made sure they always knew how much they were loved.
Helen enjoyed going to the cottage, spending time with her family, her husband Steve, getting out on the motorcycle, knitting and watching her children and grandkids grow. She cherished all of her friendships and will be deeply missed by everyone, especially her dear friend Liz.
Helen was deeply cared for by the staff at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville. Her family could not thank them enough for their support the last few months.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 6PM to 8PM at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division Street, Bowmanville.
Service will be held on Sunday July 13, 2025 at 11AM at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home.
Reception will be held in Helen’s wishes as a celebration of life immediately following the service.
