BROOKS, Mary-Jane Elizabeth Brooks

It is with great sadness and difficulty to announce the passing our beloved Jane in her 66th year on May 22, 2026 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Jane passed comfortably while in the palliative care of Ed’s House in Cobourg. The family would like to thank the staff at Ed’s House for their support during Jane’s brief stay.

Mary-Jane Elizabeth Brooks passed away peacefully knowing her family was with her. Jane, loved by her family; the daughter of Suze Brooks (Cole) and Marvin (Squeak) Brooks. Sister to Sharon, Dianne and Mike Stalker. A beloved family member to many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends, (you know who you are.)

As this has come to a great shock to us all, the family would also like to thank everyone for their kind words and support during this time of grief. Her smile, laugh and wit, among many other attributes will be sorrowfully missed, not to mention the way she seemed to get taller when on the very few occasions she got mad.

Jane, you are and will forever be missed.

There will be a private service and then a celebration of life to be announced at a later date
