BROWN, Allan Laurie Brown
July 1, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Allan Brown, affectionately known to so many as “Big Al”. Allan passed away peacefully on July 1 2026 at 12:30am at the age of 84.
Big Al was a simple man with a huge heart. Nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his family and friends, sharing stories, enjoying good conversations and filling every room with laughter. He loved to dance and could always be counted on to light up the dance floor, often earning the title of “Best dancer” or “Cutest dancer” at family gatherings and community events. Lets not forget his 2 favourite pastimes, walking and eating ice cream.
Allan Laurie Brown spent his working years as a truck driver, dedicating his life to providing for his family through hard work, determination and love. His family was always his greatest priority and he gave them everything he could.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughter Karen (Carl Brown), his brothers Garry and Harley (Kathy), his sister Carol Ann (Tim) and many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared.
The love story between Allan and his beloved wife, Kathryn AKA Miss Kitty, was one for a lifetime. After 61 wonderful years of marriage Miss Kitty passed away in June 2025. He missed her deeply every single day and we find comfort in knowing they are together again, reunited in eternal peace.
Though our hearts are broken, we are grateful for the love, laughter, wisdom and memories Big Al gave us.His legacy will live on in all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will be held in Ontario and, at a later date in his hometown of Windsor, Nova Scotia. Details will be shared with family and friends as they become available.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our BIG AL.
