Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Hospital in Oshawa on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 92 years of age.

Beloved life partner of the late Mary Fudge. Ernest, known fondly as Ervin, will also be dearly remembered by his sisters Rose (John) MacLean and Pat (Dave) Carstairs.

He was predeceased by his parents Austin and Florence (Gallant) Brown and his siblings Bernard, Joe, Fred, Bill, Winston, and Teresa Brown. Ervin will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

As per Ernest’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Durham in his memory.
