BRYDGES, Linda Brydges

Most of all, I am grateful….
With unspeakable sadness, we share the passing of Linda Eileen Brydges, Aug 25, 2025.
She spent her final years in her beloved home in Collingwood, Ontario surrounded by her cherished family and friends.

She was a much adored daughter to William Brydges (Mildred) and Marjorie Scott (Jim) and sister to William Brydges (Jackie). Linda shared twenty-two glorious years of enduring love with her husband and soul mate, Ralph (Raf) Moore -a true love story. They were co-captains in the adventure of life; travelling, hiking, and whenever possible playing on the water. Their dogs were always by their side.

Linda was a loving mother to Angela Wisniewski (Maurice) and Sarah Wisniewski (Chris), Bridget Irving, Ben Moore and Katie Ross (Gordon). Great joy came with the birth of her grandchildren, Evan and Chelsea Ross. She showered us all with love that was boundless, endless, and surrounded us like a warm glow.

A true teacher at heart, Linda’s early career was spent working with elementary students. Later, she shared her thoughtful and attentive support with university students as a career counsellor. One of her greatest joys was sharing her deep practice of yoga, which she mindfully cultivated over the years and which brought her profound peace.

Linda moved through life with grace and enthusiasm, with a keen eye for the beauty of nature and love for animals. Inspired by her grandfather, she expressed her sensitivity and creativity in poetry and the arts. She had eyes for the needs of those around her and a gift for cultivating close friendships. She carried joy, compassion, and spritely love into all of her close relationships as well as into her volunteer work.

Linda has left our lives earlier than we expected but her radiant spirit will dance on with us through the years.

Burnished toes,
White sand
Oh sweet soothing lullaby,
Water always wins
