Born in Korea on Aug. 29, 1939, Chong Kook married Hyung-Za and shared 56 years together. They had two children and he was greatly devoted to his family, doting on his grandchildren.
Chong Kook Park was a captain in the AirForce in Korea and he continued to work in the aviation industry when he immigrated to Canada in the 70s. He often shared that he was busier in retirement than when he was working as he took on leadership roles in the Korean Airforce Veterans’ Association as well as many church groups such as the Secular Franciscan Order.
He was a devout Catholic and his faith was integral to his daily routines. He connected deeply with many people at work and church, always making an effort to help and guide all those around him. He touched many lives and his love and support will remain in all our hearts.
He is survived by his wife Hyung-Za, his children Julie (Patrick) and Peter (Shima) and his grandchildren Hannah, Naomi and Dylan.
