Maie Clingman (Thompson),beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Passed away peacefully at HIllsdale Estates on May 12,2025.
Born May 20,1930 in Fort Macleod, AB to Roy and Thelma Thompson. Predeceased by her brother Gerald (Loretta) and her surviving brother Alf (Pat) of Alberta. Maie was the beloved wife of Melvin Clingman (predeceased 2008) with whom she shared a lifetime of love, music and memories. Together they raised 3 children. Maie is predeceased by her son, Garth (Debra) in 2015. Her surviving daughters are Wendy (Jack) and Melanie (Todd).
Maie found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. She had a passion for quilting, a green thumb in the garden, and a deep appreciation for music – especially listening to Melvin play guitar. Her happiest moments were spent with family and her many friends, whether working with her hands or simply enjoying their company with a great game of cards.
She is survived by her 2 grandchildren, Amy (Mark) and Holly (Shawn) and her 6 great-grandchildren Jasper, Eric, Jack,Jase,Justin and predeceased by Trevor.
In accordance with Maie’s wishes, there will be no formal service or memorial.
