CUTTING, Bill Cutting

He passed away peacefully at Brightshores Health System in Wiarton on Thursday, May 7, 2026. Born in Owen Sound on July 19, 1931, William “Bill” Alpheus Cutting of Sauble Beach, was in his 95th year.

Beloved husband of the late June Cutting. Proud dad of Cindy Wheeler and Rick Cutting (Deborah). Cherished grandpa of Kelly Schroeder (Steve), Joshua Cutting (Ashley), Wade Wheeler, Breann Oneid (Alex), and Kaitlin Cutting. Treasured great-grandpa of Owen, Luke, Camryn, Luca, Ryder, Everly, and Lincoln. Bill will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Predeceased by his daughter Judy Cutting, his parents Jack and Hilda Cutting, and his brothers Theodore, George, Bruce, and Budd Cutting.

Visitation will be held on Friday May 15, 2026, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492. A Royal Canadian Legion Branch 586 service will be held on Saturday May 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Sauble Beach United Church, followed by a funeral service to celebrate Bill’s life with a reception to follow. Interment will take place in Zion Cemetery, Hepworth.
