Entered into rest peacefully on Thursday, December 11th, 2025 in her 88th year.

Predeceased by John Dames and Fred Hardy. Survived by her children, Deborah Phelan (Dave), Dianne Smith (Dave) and David Hardy (Carol).

Step mother to Yvonne Johnston (Lorne) (Ben), Dianne Cavana (Allen) (Emma, Christopher) and Wally Dames, predeceased.

Predeceased by parents Alvin Thurston and Helen Hawthorne (Kennedy). Sister to Gordon Thurston (Donna) and Raymond Thurston, predeceased (Gloria).

Grandmother to Nathan Phelan (Jen), David Smith Jr., Elyse Smith, Joel Smith, Brittany Hardy, Jake Hardy (Jess) and Katie Boutilier (Chris).

Great Grandmother of Reid, Jack, Della Phelan and Wyatt Boutilier.

Doris will be remembered by many nieces and nephews and her many friends.
