Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, on Tuesday September 30, 2025 at the age of 70.
Ian David McIntosh was born in Toronto, Ontario to Thomas and Jean McIntosh who emigrated to Canada post World War II from Scotland. The family eventually settled in Ajax. Ian was father to Diana (Chris) and Beth. Grandfather to Ewan, Adam and Arran. Brother to Sandy (Kerry) and had many nephews. Remembered by former partner Jane Gibson. Ian worked for Ontario Power Generation in Nuclear Finance for over 30 years. He loved Grade B Horror movies, Star Trek, politics, World War history, Science Fiction and Halloween. An avid coin collector who was always prepared with a pen and comb in his breast pocket. Ian enjoyed his Harley Davidson Motorcycle for many years and fishing with colleagues. A memorial reception will be held at McIntosh-Anderson-Kellam Funeral Home Ltd., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Wednesday October 8, 2025, from 2 – 4 pm. A heart felt thank you to the staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in Endoscopy, Emergency, G5 and 4F units. The nursing care was greatly appreciated.
