DAVIDSON, Jean Davidson

Passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at Southbridge Long Term Care, Owen Sound on Saturday, May 9, 2026. Born in Owen Sound on August 31, 1934, Jean Davidson (nee Scott), was in her 92nd year.

Beloved wife of Gerald “Jerry” Davidson for almost 68 years. Loving mother of Douglas and Lori (Paul Beaumont). Cherished grandma of Lauren, Robert and Claire Beaumont. Dear sister-in-law of Elsie Davidson, Betty and Bob McKessock, Merv Davidson, and Wayne and Bonnie Jean Davidson. Jean will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Predeceased by her parents George and Margaret Scott (nee Robson), and her siblings Ken Scott (Betty), Don Scott (Gwen), Jim Scott (Betty), Murray Scott (Dorothy, Helen), her in-laws; Melvin and Mona Davidson, Paul Fitter, Fern Davidson, Ross Davidson and her niece Nancy Dillon.

Jean enjoyed a quiet life and was the happiest when she was with her family, particularly her grandchildren who she was so proud of. She loved making meals and was famous for her baked goods, especially her raspberry pies. Jean was a woman of deep faith in God and lived her life honestly and with integrity. She was a member of the UCW of First United Church and liked working with the other women on church activities. Jean and Jerry were members of the Antique Car Club and participated in many car tours and events. She enjoyed fun times with Illeen Barfoot and the Gray Girls and loved to go for an afternoon walk with her neighbour Kay Caesar.

Jean’s family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Kelso Pines Retirement Home and Southbridge LTC for their care and support of Mom while she was in their residences.

Visitation will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Thursday, May 21st, 2026 from 9:45-10:45 followed by a funeral service to celebrate Jean’s life at 11 a.m. Reverend Kristal McGee of First United Church will be officiating. Interment will take place in Mount Pleasant Cemetery with a reception to follow at the funeral home.
