Carolyn Lisa Desaulnier

November 21, 1968 – August 8, 2025

Smiling woman sitting at outdoor table in evening.

Passed gently away on the evening of Friday, August 8, 2025 at the Stratford General Hospital, after a 3 1/2-year battle with ovarian cancer. She is survived by husband Ryan and three children, Daniel, Ryder, and Julia.
Born and raised in Adelaide, South Australia, Carolyn attended the Victorian College of The Arts in Melbourne, and went on to an illustrious career in Musical Theatre Performance. She performed in Cats in Australia and Hamburg, Germany, then lived for two years in London, England where she performed in numerous theatrical productions and Top of the Pops, dancing for the Pet Shop Boys.
She moved to Canada in 1994, and continued to shine on stage, appearing in productions at the Stratford Festival in 1995 and 1996 where she met her husband, Ryan. Together they moved to Sydney, Australia in 2000, and both appeared in the closing ceremony of the 2000 Summer Olympics. She then retired from performing and took on her most cherished role of mother, giving birth to her three beautiful children. While in Sydney, she was employed as an office administrator for NSW Health, and was a shining light to all who worked with her.
In 2022, Carolyn and her family returned to Stratford, where she worked at Consult Kids, and again, added joy to everyone’s day who had the good fortune to speak with her. She was a warm, exuberant, and loving woman, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
