Dianne June Last

Peacefully, surrounded by loving family on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Bluewater Health, Dianne passed away at the age of 83.

Beloved wife of Ronald Last. Loving mother of Penny (Patrick) and Ronald (Janice). Cherished grandmother of Jason (Margaret), Bryan (Emma), Katelyn (Jeff), Matthew (Nicole), and Christine (Christopher), and great grandmother of Aizik (Briana), Peter, Henry, Benjamin, Jacob, Kesler and Myles. Predeceased by her parents Matie and Victor Sharman, twin sister Donna Norland, and brother Ken Sharman.

Dianne loved spending summers at their family cottage on Manitoulin Island with family and the friends she made up on the island; fishing and walking the trails. She entertained her grandchildren over the years with good food, boating, crafts, laughs and lots of love.

She and Ron travelled extensively over the years, visiting Hawaii, Bermuda, Florida, Arizona and across Canada.

Family was everything to her and not a day passed when she wouldn’t ask how everyone was and what they were up to. She loved fiercely, had a great sense of humour, happy to find an unsuspecting victim for a practical joke. She loved chocolate, butterscotch ice cream and hamburgers. She will be missed.

A funeral service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Monday, August 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery, 1016 Colborne Road, Sarnia.
