DiMARCO, Maria Iannuzzi DiMarco

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Maria Iannuzzi Di Marco, who departed this life surrounded by family and faith. Maria has now been reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband Vincenzo and cherished son Francesco, whose memories she held close to her heart every day.

Born in Altomonte, Italy, Maria was one of eight siblings, and from a young age, she exemplified strength, warmth, and generosity. She emigrated to Canada where she built a beautiful life grounded in love, faith, and tradition.

Maria was a devoted mother to Francesco, Michele and Angela, a proud and caring grandmother to Daniel, Melissa, Alysha, and Vanessa, and a doting great-grandmother to Matteo, Valentina, Xavier, Dominic, and Ariana. She was also a beloved sister, aunt, and friend to many, always extending her kindness and wisdom to those around her.

A woman of deep faith, Maria found joy and comfort in reading her Bible prayers and attending church regularly. She had a gentle spirit and a heart for service, often giving of herself through her many talents.

Maria was a professional baker, well known for her incredible skill and creativity. She played a central role in baking for social events, where her treats brought people together and left lasting memories. Her love for knitting, planting, and cooking reflected her nurturing nature and her ability to make any space feel like home.

The Di Marco family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers at Villa Zotto and Villa Colombo, whose dedication and support meant so much during Maria’s final days.

Maria’s legacy of love, faith, and family will continue to live on in all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Addictions and Mental Health Foundation and Villa Charities.
