DIMAYUGA, Lydia Tolentino Dimayuga
April 16, 1948 - May 21, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Mom, Lola, Tita and friend, Lydia Tolentino Dimayuga who left this world on Thursday May 21st at 11:00pm at the age of 78.
With quiet strength and unwavering grace, Mom is finally at peace. While our hearts ache deeply in her absence, we find comfort knowing she has now together with the love of her life, her soulmate and husband, our dad, Godofredo Dimayuga, whom she missed dearly every day since his passing. She is also now reunited with her parents, Ildefonso and Martha, and siblings Rogelio, Rolando, Jaime and Renato. She leaves behind her loving children and their partners, her sisters Gene, Sonia, Luz and brother Elmar, her grandkids, her nephews and nieces, and many more extended family and friends. She was a loving friend and Tita to so many of you here today that you became family and will surely cherish the memories, and unconditional love she shared so freely.
Mom was the heart of our family β loving, resilient, selfless, and endlessly caring. She dedicated her life to her children and family, always putting others before herself even during her own hardest days. She showed up in ways she showered her love through meals she prepared, her sacrifices made to come to Canada with 4 young kids and raising them in a new country, rarely complaining even when things were not as planned, the prayers she whispered for everyone she cared about, the friendly demeanour and respect she had for her friends/staff at Wyndham, and the comfort to she brought simply by being near. If you look back at any photos of her, she always had a smile thatΒ made you feel welcomed.
Though the last years of her life were marked by some suffering, especially when she lost dad, Mom continued to show courage, faith, and strength. She taught us how to persevere with dignity and how to love deeply and be kind, even through hardship.
Today, we imagine her free from pain, embraced once again by dad and family lost on this earth, surrounded by eternal peace.
Our family would like to thank everyone who supported and cared for her throughout her life. Your kindness brought comfort during both the wonderful and difficult times and will never be forgotten.
