DOUSETT, Burt Dousett

It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of Burt Wesley Dousett who left us on August 4, 2025 at the age of 92. A man whose laughter filled every room and whose kindness touched every heart. To his grandchildren – Papa was truly larger than life.
Burt was born in Kingston, Ontario, on May 10, 1933. He had a booming laugh, a quick wit and a heart that was filled with love for those around him. More than anything, Burt was a good man – honest, dependable and deeply devoted to his family and friends. His passing leaves a space that cannot be filled, but his spirit and stories will live on for those who knew and loved him.

In later years, Burt discovered a deep love and talent for painting. What began as a quiet hobby quickly became a joyful passion. Through art, he filled his days, kept busy and found peace and purpose. His paintings became a reflection of his vibrant spirit and brought joy to those lucky enough to see the world through his eyes.

In keeping with Burt and Evelyn’s wishes, there will be no public celebration of life. The family has decided to gather privately to celebrate the life of Burt.
Survived by his loving wife, Evelyn; his beloved children, Mike (Barb), Michele (Glenn), Andrea (Rick), Christine (Steve), Jim (Karen); his cherished grandchildren, Stephanie, Brittany, Gregory, Michael, Wesley, and Alexandra.
