It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Gloria Jean Dundas on June 19, 2024, at Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice, surrounded by family, in her 84th year.

Gloria was the beloved wife and best friend of Eric (Ike) for 45 years. She was a caring and devoted mother to Ward Lax (Lorrie), Kevin Lax (late Bobbi), and Cheryl Fulford (Mike Kelly). A loving and doting Nanna to 16 wonderful grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by her cherished four-legged companions, Chippy & Nipper.

Gloria was predeceased by her sister Bernice Bruce (late John) and brother Scott Robinson. She is survived by her half-sister Janice Close (late John), sister-in-law Londa Robinson, and in-laws Julie Beckett (Bill) and Shirley Beckett (Bob). She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and neighbors.

A talented musician and dedicated Christian, Gloria played the organ and led the senior choir at Canton United Church, as well as assisting with the junior choir at Welcome United Church. She found joy in knitting, crocheting, and baking, sharing her famous butter tarts and pies with all who visited. Gloria had a warm and welcoming spirit—no visitor left without a hug and her signature, “I LOVE YOU MORE!”

Celebration of Life:
When: Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Where: Port Hope Lions Centre
