The family announces with sorrow that Brian DuPont of Espanola, Ontario unexpectedly passed away on Monday, June 15th, 2026. Brian was born on June 11th, 1968, in Elliot Lake, Ontario.

Brian is predeceased by his parents Eddy (October 2, 1999) and Saima Lilia (April 3, 2023). He is survived by his wife Brenda, stepson Kyle Gagne (Samantha), granddaughter Brooklynn Gagne Ferguson, and siblings Cathy Beres (Frank), Gail Pleuna (Larry), Lorne Dupont (June), and Sharon Jones (Andrew).

To know Brian was to know a man of deep passions, immense talent, and a quiet, content heart with a touch of rock ‘n’ roll. A master of his craft, Brian was an accomplished carpenter whose legacy lives on not just in memory, but in the exceptional custom woodworking pieces he lovingly created for his family. The beautiful, custom woodwork he left behind will be forever cherished.

In his personal time, Brian was often found embracing the great outdoors, whether he was throwing in a line to fish, going for a hike with his wife, or simply tearing down a trail in Rhonda, his beloved Jeep.

Brian’s rhythm in life was uniquely his own. He was a talented musician who found absolute joy in plugging in his electric guitar and rocking out to his favorite music by Iron Maiden. Yet, for all his adventures and loud music, Brian deeply cherished the quiet comforts of home, sharing a peaceful life with his devoted wife, Brenda, and their beloved cat, Sadie.

In Brian’s memory, donations would be graciously accepted to the Turtle Pond Wildlife Centre in Sudbury or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Interment will take place in the Espanola Cemetery on Friday, August 7th at 11:00 a.m.
