EARL, Helen May Foster Earl

We are very sad to announce the passing of our beloved mother, Helen Earl (Foster) on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Burnbrae Gardens in Campbellford. Mom was 97 years old.

Helen was the devoted wife of Grant Earl, who passed away on February 15, 1981. She is also predeceased by her oldest son Ralph (December 9, 2018) and her youngest daughter Rosemary (July 15, 2012).

Helen is survived by her children Beth Krabbe (John), Sally Hughes (Bill predeceased), David (Elaine) and daughter-in-law Sue.

Born on July 26, 1928, Helen is predeceased by her parents Thomas and Julia Foster (nee Downer); brothers Thomas Jr., George, Henry, and sister Shirley Healy. Helen is survived by her sister Margaret Preshun and brother-in-law Fred.

She as the proud Grandmother of 10 grandchildren who will miss her very much: Herman and Mary-Beth Krabbe, Kate Binkley, Ryan Earl, Holly, Earl, Christy Fisk, Kerri Squirrel, Christopher Hughes, Matt Earl and Paige Fredericks.

She was the great-grandmother of 12 great-grandchildren who will know her through our thoughts and memories: Andrew, Riley, Racheal, Wesley, Hannah, Easton, Landon, Carter, Colin, Skyla, Dominic, Colton and Bennett.

Helen will be missed by many nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends. She was a longtime resident of Brown Street Peterborough for 79 years and was a dedicated and longstanding volunteer at the Mapleridge Seniors club.

Helen was a loving and caring person who always helped anyone in need.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Burnbrae Gardens in Campbellford where Helen spent her last years, or the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.

A Memorial Service will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough, ON.  A reception will follow and interment taking place at
