EDGERTON, Jennefer Edgerton
October 4, 1974 - April 8, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that the Edgerton & Oosterholt families announce the sudden passing of Jenny Edgerton on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at the age of 51. She leaves behind her loving and caring husband of 27 years, Wayne. She was the dedicated and proud mother of her 4 boys; Joey (Sam), Keegan, Cameron (Madi), Logan and her fur babies Nash and Bella. She will also be sadly missed by her mother Diny (late Joe), brothers Jerry (Cindy), Henri (Wilma) and Peter (Leanne) and her many nieces and nephews; Jamie (Casine), Jeanna (Brandon), Ryan (Melissa), Heather (Graham), Jessica (Justin) and Tanner.
While attending Port Perry High School, Jenny worked part-time at the Port Perry Hospital where she helped prepare nutritious meals for patients. Jenny also worked part-time at the local Blackstock Hardware Store, where she always served customers with a smile. In her spare time, Jenny thoroughly enjoyed teaching and performing at clogging demonstrations and competitions, as leader of the Good Tyme Cloggers. After graduation from Durham College in 1995, Jenny began taking family portraits at K-Mart and later Wal-Mart Portrait Studios. Then, in 1997, Jenny joined the Scugog Animal Hospital, where she dedicated almost 3 decades of her life to ensuring pets receive optimal pet care. Jenny will always be remembered for her warm welcome and kindness to both pets & their owners equally! After becoming a Mom, Jenny volunteered in numerous capacities, notably at the Blackstock Co-Op Nursery School, as well as serving as Chair of Parent Council at both Immaculate Conception Catholic School and Good Shepherd Catholic School. Jenny was also determined to be involved in her children’s extracurricular activities, filling pivotal roles at each of the following organizations: Cartwright Soccer, Cartwright Minor Ball, Scugog Storm Fastball, Port Perry Devils Fastball, Cartwright Minor Hockey & North Durham Minor Hockey.
It is clear that Jenny had an impact on every single person that she encountered throughout her daily life. She will be dearly missed by not only her family and friends, but also by the entire community at large. Jenny will be fondly remembered through the wonderful memories that she helped to create with her family, friends, co-workers, and everyone else who met Jenny at some point during her life.
