It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Lloyd “Bob” Edmunds on May 22, 2025, at the age of 69, peacefully in his home.
Bob was a man of loyalty, honesty, and conviction—a true fighter for what he believed in. Deeply loved by his family, he lived a life of purpose, hard work, and service.
A jack of all trades, Bob worked for CN Rail as a lineman, took over the family bakery, earned his pastry chef certification, and taught at Canadore College. He later worked in public works for Ryerson Township and was a proud winner of the bus rodeo. He held welding and explosives certifications and embraced outdoor life on the family’s maple syrup and tree farm.
Above all, Bob’s family meant everything to him. He is survived by his beloved wife Norma, children Robert and Shannan (Elisha), and grandson Cameron. Also remembered by sisters Wendy (Wayne, predeceased) and Pam, and extended family. Predeceased by parents Lloyd and Ruby Edmunds.
As per Bob’s wishes, there will be no service.
Donations in Bob’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
Memories and notes of condolence may be shared at Opatovsky Funeral Home.
