It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Marc Joseph Fortier on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the age of 63.
Beloved husband of Linda (née Macameau). Cherished father of Ashley (Taylor) and Tanya (Jerry). Loved grandfather of Hayden. Remembered by his sister Denise (Les) and his niece Chelsea.
Marc had a love for anything hockey, especially for his favourite team, the Washington Capitals. He enjoyed running, fishing, and spending time outdoors on the ATV.
Above all, Marc cherished the time he spent with his family. He will be remembered for the love he had for those closest to him and for the many memories he created with them. His presence, laughter, and the moments shared together will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and friends.
Visitation will take place at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE on Monday, August 31, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and a funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 p.m. Donations in Marc’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or Ronald McDonald House are sincerely appreciated by the family.
