FRASER, Douglas Robert Fraser

He was born July 10, 1948, and passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026, at the age of 77. Doug was the beloved husband of Grace and a proud and devoted father to Lisa and Clint, and father-in-law to Carol. Nothing brought him greater joy than being “Papa” to his cherished grandchildren, Cole and his fiancée Rebecca, Chloe, and Carsen. His family was the centre of his life, and he took immense pride in each of them. He was a dear brother to Liz, Harold, Jim, Mary, and Marjorie, and Lawrence and will be fondly remembered as a special uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Doug had a lifelong passion for working on cars and could often be found in the garage, happily tinkering alongside Cole, a friend, or one of his brothers. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time in the pool with Carsen and Chloe.

Doug and Grace shared many happy years playing euchre with close friends and taking road trips west and south, creating lasting memories filled with laughter, companionship, and adventure.

He will be remembered for his dedication to family, his strong work ethic, and the steady presence he brought to those around him. Doug’s love, guidance, and sense of humour will be deeply missed and forever carried in the hearts of all who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, March 4, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach. Doug’s grandson Cole will share a few words at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Easter Seals Ontario, Shriners Hospitals for Children Canada, or Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation for Campbell House Hospice in his memory.
