Anthony James Robinson Gardiner

November 8, 1958 – December 24, 2025

Smiling man in office wearing orange safety jacket.

Passed away suddenly on December 24, 2025, following a tragic fall. He was born on November 8, 1958, in Vancouver, British Columbia, where he spent his life surrounded by friends, family, and community.

Tony will be remembered as a generous, kind-hearted man whose infectious personality touched countless lives. He had a remarkable ability to connect with people and maintained lifelong friendships, remaining especially active with his Class of 1976 and through the many social and community groups he participated in over the years.

Affectionately known as “Touchdown Tony,” he devoted many years to managing high school football and men’s senior lacrosse, giving his time, energy, and enthusiasm to the sports and athletes he loved.

Tony dedicated more than 30 years of service as a maintenance engineer with Jim Pike Limited, where he was respected for his reliability, work ethic, and commitment.

He was predeceased by his parents, Gard and Margaret Gardiner.

In keeping with Tony’s wishes, no service will be held. Those who wish to honour his memory are invited to make a donation to Ronald McDonald House, Vancouver, British Columbia.

Tony’s warmth, generosity, and unmistakable spirit will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
