GAZIK, Joseph Peter Gazik
October 17, 1930 - May 10, 2026
He of Brantford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 10th, in his 96th year.
Joe is predeceased by his beloved wife, Helen (1998). He will be forever remembered by his children, Paul and Patti (Bruce). He was a special and loving Papa to Kirstin (Matt), Kellsie (Jonathon), and his absolute favourite Kailee, and a proud GreatβPapa to little Weston. Joe will also be missed by his furry friend Harvey.
Joseph Peter Gazik was the devoted partner of Gen Lindsay, with whom he shared many wonderful years. He was a cherished member of the entire Lindsay family, who welcomed him with love and warmth.
A proud and dedicated member of the community, Joe served as a Constable with the Paris Police Force for many years. He was a lifetime member of both the Paris Curling Club and the Knights of Columbus, organizations that meant a great deal to him.
Joe loved the simple joys of life – summer days in the garden, swimming in his pool, golfing, puzzles, cards, stamps, and spending time at the cottage with Gen. These were the moments where he found peace, laughter, and connection.
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to all the PSWs and the compassionate staff at Oakwood Commons for their care and support.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Dwayne D. Budgell Funeral Home, 1105 Rest Acres Road, Paris. Β A Celebration of Life will be held for Joe on Wednesday, June 10th, at Sacred Heart Parish Hall in Paris from 6 pm to 9 pm. A private family interment will occur. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heart and Stroke or towards Brantford Special Olympics.
Joe lived a long life marked by service, kindness, and devotion to the people he loved. He will be deeply missed.
