GIESBRECHT , Gertruda Giesbrecht

Our Mom’s desire to be with her loving Saviour Jesus Christ has been fulfilled. Separation is bittersweet, but we rejoice with her and look forward to seeing her again.

Mom loved to read and crochet, unfortunately she lost her eyesight in later years and was no longer able to pursue those hobbies, so she filled her time by listening to German radio with her son Kiko by her side.

Mom enjoyed visitors and was a blessing to many and spread her joy of life and her love for Jesus to anyone that she met.

Gertruda was the daughter of Frank and Margaret Froese. She was a loving mother to 13 children who will miss her dearly. Frank, Ann (David) Fehr, Greta (Abe) Fehr, Peter (Tina) Giesbrecht, Mary (Jake deceased) Dyck, Sara (Neil) Klassen, Tina (Jake) Enns, Sue (Neil deceased) Neufeld, Henry (Norma) Giesbrecht, Jake (Elda) Giesbrecht, Liz (Irvin) Neufeld, Lena (John) Thiessen, Eva (Edward) Schultz.

She was grandmother to 56 grandchildren (of which 4 are deceased), 68 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

She is also survived by her siblings Margaret Rempel and Wilhelm (Anna) Froese. She will be missed by many sisters-in-law.

Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Monday August 25, 2025 from 5:00pm until 8:00p.m. The Funeral Service for Gertruda will be held at the Straffordville Evangelical Community Church, 55748, 3rd St., Straffordville, Ontario on Tuesday August 26, 2025 at 11:00am with Pastor Abe Berg officiating.
