It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lorraine Pearl Gill, in her 98th year. Lorraine passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at the Helen Henderson Care Centre, surrounded by the love of her family. Cherished daughter of the late Harold and Stella Long. Reunited with her beloved husband, Bertram A. Gill, with whom they shared forty-five years of happiness in marriage. Predeceased by her siblings: Lena Miller, William Long, and Cecil Long. Lorraine will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews: Susan Ballance (John), Linda Henry, Donna Gaudet, David Long (Deb), Gary Long and Brenda Long. Sadly, she was predeceased by her nephew, Ernie Miller (Nancy). She was the cherished great-aunt of Donnie (Julie) and Amy (Terry), and the adored great-great-aunt of River, Harper, Vienna, Avery, Piper, and Riley.
Arrangements entrusted to RUSHNELL FUNERAL HOME – BELLEVILLE (80 Highland Ave. 613-968-5588). To honour Lorraine’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private interment will be held at Belleville Cemetery in the Spring. If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Hastings-Prince Edward and/or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be greatly appreciated by the family.
