GORDON, Genna Gordon

After a courageous battle with cancer, Genna Elma Ileen Gordon (née Neuman) passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026, at the age of 42.

Beloved wife of Chris and loving stepmother to Austin (Ashlie), Genna was also the devoted companion of her cherished fur baby, Hank.

God blessed Murray and Carolyn Neuman with the gift of Genna on May 26, 1984. She was a dearly loved sister to Garrett John William (Melissa) and Geoffrey Murray Bruce (Charity), and a proud aunt who will be greatly missed by her niece and nephews.

Genna Gordon will also be missed by her beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. Genna was predeceased by her grandparents, Bill and Ileen Neuman, John and Elma Flewell, and her step-grandfather, John Neuman.

Genna began her spiritual journey with the Lord at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, then on to Liberty Pentecostal Church. She attended Waverley Public School, Bowmanville Senior Public School, and Bowmanville High School before earning an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology.

She began her career at Messier-Dowty, later worked at Cascades, and was finally employed with Ontario Power Generation (OPG).

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Peterborough Regional Health Centre for their compassionate care and support throughout Genna’s journey.

A Celebration of Life for Genna will be held at Liberty Pentecostal Church on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.

For those who are unable to attend, an additional Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Her kindness, strength, unwavering faith, and love for her family and friends will be remembered always.
