GRANT, James Grant

The family wishes to announce the unexpected passing of their beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, James Edward Grant, of Tillsonburg on Monday, May 11, 2026 at the age of 79 years. Words can not describe how loving he was to his wife Barbara (nee Biggins). Loving and devoted father to Steve (Judy) Grant; Gregg (Kim) Grant; Aaron Grant; John Grant; and Emily (Grant) Krahn. Proud grandfather to Ben (Kathryn); Nikki (Peter); Clay; Vanessa (Eric); Ashley; Hunter; Sophie; Warren; Naomi; and Asa. Great grandfather to Molly, Norah, Lilah, Lawrence, Hudson, Karson, Kylah, and Jake. Loving brother to Mary (Neil) Sider; Roger (Beth) Grant, and Paul (Susan) Grant. Brother-in-law to Colleen Grant.  Predeceased by his parents John and Rita Grant (nee Vannatter), his brother Robert Grant and his great granddaughter Alyson.

James was an avid Scottish Historian, he loved learning, he loved reading books and was very skilled with his hands.

The family invites all to a visitation for James to be held at Faith Presbyterian Church, 101 Bidwell St, Tillsonburg on Thursday, May14th, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 pm and again on Friday, May 15th, 2026 from 11:00am – 1:00pm. James funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm immediately following the visitation. Interment will be held at the Sherkston Brethren in Christ Cemetery.
