
It is with great sadness and a tear in our eye that the family of Shirley Agnes Grubb of Walkerton announces her passing on Monday, May 18th, in her 93rd year.
Predeceased by her husband, Gerald (2021). Loving mother of Janice (Wayne) Kieffer, Alan (Jackie) and Gary (Stefanie). Proud grandmother of Nicole, Brittany (Jonathan), Devon (Sarah), Katie (Adam), Megan (Justus), Rachel (Matt) and Everett (Ashley). Proud great-grandmother of Emberly, Liam, Cali, Jordan, Alec “AJ” and Clayton, and three more little ones on the way.
Survived by sisters-in-law Betty Schill and Noreen Weber, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Audrey (Harry) Hunt, sister-in-law Marie (Alex) Diebolt and brothers-in-law Clarence (Geraldine) Grubb, John Schill and Lorne Weber, and her parents David and Henrietta (Oberle) Zettler.
Shirley was a talented quilter, piecing and creating beautiful quilts and quillows she shared with her family. She entered her quilts in local Fall Fairs often receiving “Grand Champion” or 1stPlace ribbon. When Shirley and Gerald retired from the family farm and moved to Walkerton in 1999 she continued with her talent, often having a quilting or knitting project on the go.
Friends and Family are invited to visitation on from 9:30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, at Cameron’s in Walkerton, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Walkerton. Fr. Leszek Szczygiel presiding. Reception to follow in the Sacred Heart Church Parish Hall.
Private family interment in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Carlsruhe.
