Yvonne Yvette Guay (née Gauthier) passed away peacefully at Hanover District Hospital surrounded by her family in her 83rd year. She now rejoins her beloved husband, Jean-Claude Guay.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Yvonne was born in St. Elizabeth, Manitoba, to Albeni and Cecile Gauthier. Married on June 24, 1961, she shared 58 years with Jean-Claude.

Yvonne’s creativity shone in ceramics, painting, and quilting. A devout and giving spirit, she served as a PSW, and was active in the Catholic Women’s League and Holy Family Church.

She is lovingly remembered by her children Marc (Louise), Rene (Norma), Nicole (Brent), and Levis (Melanie), grandchildren and great-granddaughter Liliana, as well as many siblings and extended family.

Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 5:30–8:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, May 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church, Hanover.

Memorial donations may be made to the Hanover & District Hospital Foundation or Holy Family Church expansion.
