HAINES, Thomas Murray “Tom” – It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Dad and Papa, Tom Haines on Saturday May 31, 2025 at the age of 75. Adored Dad to Emma (Graham) Thwaites and proudest Papa to Kayla, Brooklyn, and Luke.

Tom is reunited with his beloved daughter, Alison (1984) and his parents Murray (1993) & Marie (2010) Haines. Tom will be sadly missed by his cat Bingo, and Emma & Alison’s Mother Yvonne Haines. He will be fondly remembered by his great friend Jennifer, his friend Doug, his coffee shop buddies, fellow car enthusiasts, and by so many friends and family whom he loved and cherished.

Born in Niagara-on-the-Lake, ‘Tommy’ was well known in town growing up on Wellington Street. He was always seen driving one of his British Cars around town. Known as the ‘British Car Guy’, he ran a repair business until semi-retirement. A longtime member of the Niagara-on-the-Lake Sailing Club, he sailed boats Therapy and Therapy Too.

A devoted supporter of his family, Tom always showed up with a card and a treat on special days. He served with the Niagara-on-the-Lake Fire Department for over 20 years, always ready to lend a hand.

Friends and family are invited to Morgan Funeral Home, 415 Regent Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake on Friday June 6, 2025 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service to celebrate his life will take place at the funeral home on Saturday June 7, 2025 at 11 am. Interment will follow at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Niagara Falls Humane Society or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Memories, photos and condolences may be shared at Morgan Funeral Home.
