Celebrating the Journey of Susana Hampson

Passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Chesley, in her 73^rd year. Susana was born in Walkerton, June 4, 1953, daughter of William and Rita (nee Schaefer) Hampson. A lifelong resident of Walkerton, she was an active person within Community Living creating many great friendships over her lifetime and will be dearly missed.

There were many things that brought Susana joy, like her avid shopping and collecting – specifically dolls and enjoyed a large collection, time spent sewing, scrapbooking, or just simply colouring. One of her favourite things to do was visit Lobies Park on a nice day as it reminded her of when she lived nearby as a young girl. This could often be paired with a Tim Horton’s coffee and a sweet treat. Susana had a love for birds and had owned several over the years. In her later years she enjoyed travelling with her peers to many local beaches, Niagara Falls, and an unforgettable trip to Nashville. One of her most memorable trips though was being to experience Graceland – she loved Elvis.

What many of us will remember is her great sense of humour (although at times wildly inappropriate) and her beautiful smile.

Friends are invited to visitation from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Cameron’s in Walkerton.

Interment in Walkerton Cemetery.
