It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Murray on April 8, 2025 at the age of 80.
Dedicated father of Glen (Clara), Carolyn (Norm), and Erin (Jason). Cherished companion of Zeerone Rahamatally. Proud Gramp of Jake (Mel), Sam, Bryce (Madison), Alison, Colin, Lauren, Cameron, Faudia, and Raniya. Murray was excitedly anticipating the birth of his first great-grandson.
Devoted brother of Reg (Charlene), Dave (Jean), and Doug (the late Wendy). Adored Uncle of Tracy (Jim), Luke (Jean) and the late Jennifer (Frank). Predeceased by his mother Alma Handley and his wife May Dumont. Murray will also be dearly missed by his large extended family and many friends.
Murray retired from General Motors after 37 years of service. He was a strong supporter of the Coboconk Legion Branch 519 and an active member of the Pineridge Target Sports Club.
A Memorial Service will take place on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at Armstrong Funeral Home (124 King St. E., Oshawa) with refreshments to follow at the funeral home. Interment to follow at the family plot in Norland at a later date.
