Passed suddenly and unexpectedly on August 31, 2025 at Lakeridge Heath Bowmanville at the age of 78. Beloved wife and best friend to Terry for 56 years. Cherished mom to Stephen (Nicole) and Shawn (Susan). Adored nanny to Erika (Travis), Victoria (Ryan), Kyle (Mackenzie), Georgia and Liliana. Much loved great-grandma to Lucas, Blake, Henry and Iyla. Dear sister to Beverley (late Nelson), Mel (late Rose), Arthur and her late siblings: Gail “Bud” and Madeline (late Roy). Darlene will be missed and remembered fondly by all who knew her. Her dedication to the Rebekah Lodge and her love for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren will always be remembered, her smile lit up a room and will be dearly missed. Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation on Wednesday September 10th from 11:00 am until the time of service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Orono Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Rebekah Lodge in Orono. If so desired memorial donations may be made to Orono United Church.
