Leona Marie Hegarty passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, April 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was 69 years young.
Leona is survived by her soulmate and husband Mike, her daughter Tammy and son-in-law Adam, her son Mark and daughter-in-law Gaby, her granddaughter Victoria and husband Ethaan, her granddaughter Amelia, and her grandson Nathan.
Leona was an avid scrapbooker and cardmaker, who loved to document all of the special family vacations and events, which were so important to her. It was her passion in life, and through her creations, she brought great joy to all those who ever received one of her handcrafted cards or a completed scrapbook full of cherished memories.
She touched the lives of all those who met her and had the chance to get to know her generous and loving heart. She will be dearly missed and will forever remain in our hearts.
There will be a Celebration of Leona’s life on Sunday, April 20, 2025 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the McEachnie Funeral Home Family Centre at 20 Church St. N in Ajax. Refreshments will be served, and speeches will be held at 2:00 p.m.
Small floral arrangements are welcome as Leona said she wanted to be surrounded by flowers.
