Beloved husband of the late Brigitte. Loving father of Karen (Gaston), Richard (Sue), Cindy (Jeremy) and Angela (Pablo predeceased). Lovingly remembered by his 6 grandchildren (Brad, Lakyn, Shawn, Allison, Ryan and Martin) and 2 great-grandchildren (Teagan and Rory). Dear brother of Bob, Charlie and Lorraine and the late John and Helen. Brother in-law of Lynn. Gord will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Gord was a kind, gentle and giving soul who loved a good (and bad) pun, to play pool, mini-golf, card games, win a game of Mexican Train and spending time with his family. He loved the Toronto Blue Jays, Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Argos. He was proud to have spent time as a volunteer firefighter, serve in the Royal Canadian Signal Corps, support the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets, and retire from Scarborough Hydro.
A visitation for Gordon will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Oshawa Funeral Home, 847 King Street West, Oshawa, ON L1J2L4, followed by a celebration of life in the Chapel at 2:00 PM.
