It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Henry Albert (Al) Perkin of Aurora. Ontario on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. Al died peacefully at Southlake Health in Newmarket, surrounded with love of family and friends at the age of 91.
Al is survived by his wife Vreni, daughter Dianne and brothers Alan, Kenneth (Lucina) and David (Sandra).
Al spent many years in the Real Estate business, both as a broker and a developer but, after Vreni, his real love of life was Golf. For many years he was a member of Summit, after which he became a member of the Beacon Hall community in 1988. He was a fierce competitor, playing well into his late eighties
Visitation will be held at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON L4G 6W8, on October 31, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will take place in the Chapel at 12:00 pm. All are welcome to join afterwards for a Reception and time of fellowship in the Heritage Room. Private burial to follow.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to Southlake Health Foundation www.southlakefoundation.ca or a charity of your choosing would be appreciated by the family.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring of 2027. The date will be announced closer to that time.
