It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Trent. Finally free from the pain of his illness, Trent passed peacefully at the age of 56.
Trent will be sadly missed and leaves behind to cherish and carry on his memory, his mother Patricia, his sister Shannon (Brent) and his son Kyle Daniel. He was an uncle and great uncle, and a cousin to so many.
He is welcomed on the other side by his father Daniel Hobbs (1989), his younger brother Bret Hobbs (2021) and lifelong friend Robert Holyck (2024) He also joins the safety and comfort of the many friends and family that have gone before him.
From a young age, Trent was a gifted artist, his charcoal work was ahead of its time. Being the chosen artist to do all the cardboard work for the Break dancing battles in the neighbourhood.
He excelled in playing the violin, starting at just 10 years old. He played with such passion and skill, well beyond his years. In his teens, Trent was a BMX enthusiast and his Hutch Trick Star was his prized possession and the talk of the neighborhood.
An absolute fanatic of the Arizona Cardinals, and a life long loyal fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays. Trent was always surrounded by or wearing his team memorabilia.
Trent always had a love of music. His collection had such a wide variety of genres. If Trent was in the room or the car, there was always music playing. In his younger years, the louder the better.
We will miss you Trent. We will miss your silly jokes, your kind eyes and warm smile and of course our NFL Sunday family rivalry.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Armstrong Funeral Home (124 King St. E., Oshawa). A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel. Interment Pine Hills Cemetery, Scarborough.
