It is with great love and sadness that we announce the loss of Rosemarie Margaret Hollemeyer, who went to be with the Lord on February 13, 2026, at the age of 85.
Rosemarie is lovingly survived and remembered by her children Bernard (Karen) Hollemeyer and Heidi (Mark) Bashor; grandchildren Lindsey Hollemeyer, Dylan Hollemeyer, Loralee (Michael) Williams, Kenan (Ashley) Bashor, Grant Bashor, Caleb Bashor, Alana Bashor, Michael Bashor, Amanda Bashor, and Janessa Bashor; and many extended family members and friends.
She now goes to join her husband of 58 years, Hans Hollemeyer (d. 2021); brother George Stephani; sister Erna Stephani; and brother-in-law Chris Ahlskog.
Rosemarie was born to George and Ericka Stephani in Barrhead, Alberta, on January 31, 1941. On September 1, 1962, she married Hans Hollemeyer, and the two moved from Edmonton, Alberta, in 1966 and enjoyed the rest of their lives together in the Okanagan Valley.
Rosemarie loved music, as seen through her piano playing and singing over the years. She enjoyed baking (especially German tortes and cakes) and hosting coffee times. Her stories near the end of her life always involved the theme of good music, food, and fellowship.
She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held on SATURDAY, MARCH 14, 2026, at 1:00 PM (PST), located at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC.
