William (Bill ) Holmes passed away Monday June 2 2025 after a brief struggle in the hospital. He was 74 . He was the son of Reginald and Evelyn Holmes born Sept 21 1950 in Cornwall Ontario , he was husband of Patricia Holmes , father to Ryan Holmes Jennifer Holmes , Stephanie Nevermann (Alex) brother of Carol Taylor ( predecessed) , Roxanne Kiraki ( Victor ) , Richard Holmes ( predecessed).Grandpa to Natalie Humphrey & Benjamin Nevermann . He also is survived by his many nieces and nephew. Bill enjoyed cars , collecting die cast cars , auto shows , hockey and baseball, music and dancing. He was an avid hockey player in his youth, many years he played. He was a long-time running coach to many in both hockey and baseball.
Being a very simple man , he enjoyed his music , his sports ( even if it was just on the tv ), bbqing and having a good laugh.
He loved yard sales and flea markets as well.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Any donations can be made to diabetes association in memory of him.
